I am convinced now that I should no longer simply observe the flow of life around me, but that I should participate in it. I've reached a new level of comfort with a great group of friends, and I'm exploring whole new worlds of art at school. Small accomplishments for most maybe, but friends give us a sense of validity in our existence; they help us feel appreciated, and respected. Such feelings go a long way in providing the confidence necessary to explore, knowing that someone is always ready to catch me if I should fall. Its a small thing...

Its a small thing, to understand the idea that I'm a relatively insignificant piece of slowly decaying biomass, hurtling through the universe on a piece of rock, but man can that small fact sure be humbling...and not just humbling, but depressing!
